Hoje muitos notebooks e netbooks, já trazem o Bluetooth. Na falta desse tipo de conexão, um simples adaptador genérico Bluetooh USB Dongle, resolve.
Instruções
Para conferir se o adaptador Bluetooth foi reconhecido pelo Ubuntu, abra o Terminal e digite lsusb <enter>. Algo semelhante, deve surgir: {{{... Bus 005 Device 002: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode) ...}}}

NOTA: A partir da versão 9.04 do Ubuntu e acima basta ligar o adaptador de suporte e um ícone aparece no canto superior direito, conforme o menu Installation and Configuration. |
Instalação em versões anteriores ao Ubuntu 9.04
No Synaptic procure e instale os pacotes: bluez e bluez-utils. Ou vá pelo Terminal, digite:
sudo apt-get install bluez bluez-utils
Para que as modificações se tornem efetivas você precisará reiniciar o bluetooh. Use o comando abaixo no terminal:
sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth restart
Continue no menu finding it manually.
