History

The Ubuntu-SP was created by Paulo Christiano during the Free Desktop event, which occurred in Lorena-SP in 2006. He felt by Ubuntu-Br community members, that was necessary to create another regional group distribution, having as parameter the dimensions that the state of Sao Paulo wins when it comes to software and information technology.

Objectives

The Ubuntu-SP is a LoCo Team, in other words, is part of the official community of users behind the Linux distribution Ubuntu. We aim:

Ubuntu Due to the strong performance of its members in the free software community as a whole and in the Brazilian community of Ubuntu, the group meets the expectation of making it a source of reference for events, tutorials, support, and general information dissemination within and outside the state of Sao Paulo.

Ubuntu Accommodate experienced users and future users of Ubuntu, as well as supporters of free software who wish to join the team collaborating, documenting and working to strengthen the team in this endeavor.

Ubuntu Also act as central aggregator, providing that the community of Ubuntu users in the state to become closer to the distribution itself, as the community of free software as a whole.
